Change, as it is always said by the sages, is the only constant thing that exists.
So, why then do we take it upon ourselves as humans to decide to impact change on another person when the person has the absolute choice of being who they are or changing by themselves if they want to?
You do NOT change a person. Some people say when you love, you are willing to change the person or change yourself for that person. It is not logical in that manner; when you love a person, you love the person for who they are no matter what the circumstance.
If you perceive the person’s personality and the aura does not align with yours, you step back to let that person be. In the trials of changing a person, much damage is done. Relationships are ruined and it could mentally alter a person too.
Imagine society not loving you for who you are and then you push yourself over the edge, becoming who you are not just to please the masses. You might’ve changed physically but not psychologically and this change commences to take a mental toll on you.
Anxiety could come in. What do they think about me? My weight… my walking step, am I appealing? What would people say? You begin to get anxious and drained mentally.
The universe appeals to us; let people be, let them do them, and live with what makes them happy. You might feel you want the best for them but at most times, it’s just selfishness from your point of view. Yes, flawed characters exist in personality and you could always reach out for them to look in on their behavior, but never just work to change their whole nature just to suit yours. People not being who they want to be today is one of the largest reasons for unhappiness.
This post will definitely be misinterpreted and misunderstood, but I hope we ponder on it to comprehend it.
Let people choose their change and expand their horizons.
Choose yours too.
